A Glittery Butterfly for FMS#283

Hello!

Welcome Back!
Thanks for peeking in at for
another Card!

This Card is for a Sketch Challenge!
for

Freshly Made Sketches #283

Here is the Challenge!

Here is my Card!

I love the Glimmer!

Here is a close-up of the Butterfly!

So Sparkly!
A New Technique I saw and I had to try it!
Connie Stewart from 'Simply Simple Stamping' showed
a technique...after you cut out the Butterfly, turn it over,
face down and run a strip or two of 'packing tape over the back
of the butterfly. Trim off around the whole outside of the
Butterfly. Lay it down, right side up, (the sticky side up),
sprinkle the glitter over the whole butterfly...it will stick
only to the tape (sticky part)! Pick up and tap off the excess
and Viola! You have a Glittery, Glimmery, Glitzy, Butterfly!
Isn't it Pretty?
Connie also mentions that the excess glitter...rub your hands
all over your face! Bwahahaha! Yup, this isn't the neatest
technique, but the outcome is worth it! Don't you agree!

Here is a side view of the butterfly!

I put 'Mini Glue Dots' just along the body of the
Butterfly...to make it look like it is still flying!

Here is a close-up of the two flowers!

I adhered the flowers and branch/leaves to the card
with 'Mini Glue Dots'...I also put a 'glue dot' in
the center of the two flowers and sprinkled the glitter
on top of them...sparkly!

Here is the inside of my Card!

I used 'Stickles' Glitter Glue for the center of these flowers.
I didn't want to chance, glitter coming off 'glue dots' on the
inside of a card! It would then make the card stick together!

Here is my Card with it's stamped to match envelope!

I didn't have the 'Peek-A-Boo Peach' Ink Pad...so I did
a 'stamp off' technique with the 'Calypso Coral' so it
makes a lighter color/shade of the actual color!
Hmmm...could have used the Stampin' Write Marker...
Now I think of it! Oh, Well!

Here are the items used to make my Card:
Unless noted, all items are from Stampin'Up!

Please try this technique! You will be amazed
at how pretty it really looks!
I will do this again!
It isn't as 'heavy' as using 'Glimmer Paper'!

Until the next Post...Blessings and Glitter Love to you ALL!
