"D" is for...

Hello Friends and Stampers!

"D" is for 'Decorative Masks' Hearts and Stars from Stampin'Up!

This Post is also a 2 for...
2 Cards to show the two different 'Decorative Masks'.
One for the 'Hearts' and one for the 'Stars'!

Here is the 'Hearts' Card.

For the 'Hearts' an 'offset' technique was used.
The hearts were first
sponged with White 'Craft Stampin' Ink' then allowed to dry.
Then the 'mask' is put back over the base, then you 'offset' it just a bit.
Then you sponge different colored inks over them.
Here used, from the bottom up, are
'Melon Mambo', 'Marina Mist', and 'Daffodil Delight'
Classic Stampin' Inks.

Start from the bottom...sponge 'Melon Mambo' on the hearts for about
three or four rows of hearts. Then sponge "Marina Mist' over about a row or two of the 'Melon Mambo' hearts and up about three more heart rows. That is how you can mix color and achieve another color. In this case it shows up a purple...pink and blue make purple! Then leave a row or two 'Marina Mist' blue. Then the final color 'Daffodil Delight' is sponged over the a few of the  blue hearts and up to the top rows on the card...blue and yellow make green! It looks like five colors were used, but only three colors were used!

The banner is 'Vellum Cardstock' cut 1 1/2" x 4".
Then the 'Banner Triple Punch was used on one end.
The two 'Hearts' are punched with the 'Sweetheart Punch'.
One heart was punched from 'Melon Mambo' Cardstock.
The other heart, with the greeting, was stamped in 'Melon Mambo' Classic Stampin' Ink. The greeting is from the 'Cottage Greetings' Stamp Set.
The three little hearts, stamped in 'Melon Mambo' Classic Stampin' Ink, is from 'Tin of Cards' Stamp Set.

Here is the 'Stars' Card.

The same 'offset' technique was used on the 'Stars' on this Card!
Also used were the same 'Classic Stampin' Ink' colors.
'Melon Mambo', 'Marina Mist', and 'Daffodil Delight'.

Sorry this is a bit blurry, but here is a close up of the
'offset' of the White 'Craft Stampin' Ink' and the Color.

For the 'Stars' Card a 'Vellum Cardstock' was cut 1 1/2" x 5" and then
the 'Banner Triple Punch' was used on the bottom.
The 'Stars' were cut out using 'Stars Framelits'.
One star was Cut out of 'Melon Mambo' Cardstock.
The other star was first stamped onto a piece of 'Whisper White' Cardstock in 'Melon Mambo' Classic Stampin Ink. The 'my friend' greeting is from the retired 'And Many More' Stamp Set. The little stars are from the
'Thoughtful Branches' Stamp Set. Then cut out with the 'Star Framelits'.

Rhinestone Stars' from 'Recollections'
were used all over the card. The banner is adhered with 'Mini Glue Dots' under the two 'offset' punched hearts!
You can see  that four rhinestone stars are on the edges of the banner!
It helps to hold the banner too!

The 'Medium Size Envelope' was stamped with the stars in the same color
'Classic Stampin' Inks, 'Melon Mambo', 'Marina Mist',
and 'Daffodil Delight'.

Here again is the 'Hearts' Card.
The sequins used on this card were leftover from
a past 'Paper Pumpkin' Project.

Here is a close up of the 'offset' 'Hearts'.

The 'Medium Size Envelopes' for the Card was
stamped in the same color 'Classic Stampin' Inks' used
on the card...'Melon Mambo, 'Marina Mist' and 'Daffodil Delight'.

These cards were fun to make!
I love seeing the colors change as you sponge them.

These are great cards to send to Friends or Family.
Just to let them know you are Thinking of Them!

Until the next Posting...Blessings and Love to ALL of you!
